But there's one thing that has been blowing my mind lately: his eyes. My eyes are quite blue. Robyn is my brown eyed girl. So what colored eyes will The Tobe end up with? Blue or brown? The answer, at least for now, is "yes", and then some.
This is one of those things that I can't adequately capture on camera. His eyes are blue on the outside, much like mine. They fade into a hazelish-green before ultimately becoming the beautiful vibrant brown of Robyn's. He has my blue, he has Robyn's brown, and he has a blend of these colors and even more that is all his own.
I hope that as we raise him, he gets the best parts of Daddy, the best parts of Mommy, and so much more. The last thing I want is for him to be just like me... I want so much more for him.
God has blessed us so much. Every time I look at my son, I see pieces of Robyn in him, and that's a good thing, because I love her so dearly. Similarly, Robyn can look at the kid and see pieces of me. Ok, so maybe God has blessed me so much, and not so much my poor wife who has to be reminded of me even when I'm not around...
Like I said, the image doesn't do it justice, but I wanted to get it out there. Maybe I could convince some of my photographically-skilled friends to help capture the goodness.

That is a great picture!!
So... if The Tobe ends up with one blue eye and one brown eye, how do you know that he's not MY KID?!?
I don't normally post...you know me. BUT, his eyes are beautiful!
