- I'm as straight as anyone. I believe marriage is one man and one woman. I've never seen Brokeback Mountain. The mere thought of homosexual activity makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit. And if there's any "Christian" organization I dislike more than my pal Osteen's, it's those (very strong expletive-laden rant deleted) bastards that follow Fred Phelps.
- If I'm ever passed out on my bed and whoever discovers me is concerned, I hope they call the paramedics before they call anyone who was a character in Full House.
- Are there many better movies made in this decade than A Knight's Tale? I think not. Seriously. Robyn and I should watch it again soon.
- Reason #34,585,411,367,108 not to have an extra-marital affair: Michel Veillette. So, just to recap... you cheated on your wife... then you killed your wife... then you killed your 4 kids because you felt the need to set fire to your house. Anything else you'd like to share?
What a horrible, heartbreaking story. Memo to married men: have relations with your wife instead of some woman on the side. It's better for the whole family. Really. No lie. - Mick is doing a heck of a job with the Bearcats. If they could have hit a couple free throws and avoided that late off-the-ball foul, they'd be sitting at 5-2 in the Big East. I assumed this would be a horrible year for Cronin's fellas, but it looks like the program might wind up doing ok without Huggs after all.
- I like the Affeldt signing. Low-risk in both money and years, high-reward potential for 2008. My foolish annual optimism about the home nine's chances is back. Every year, I'm hopeful, even when there is little hope.
- Bill Clinton fell asleep during a service to honor MLK. Oh, please don't let the comments in this thread get too political, but I just can't leave this one alone! It's too interesting to me, and it's my blog, so...
If a Republican fell asleep at an MLK event, he'd be torn to shreds in the media. If a Republican visibly checked his watch at an MLK event, he'd be torn to shreds in the media. Clinton does both, and I didn't hear much criticism. Just sayin'. I don't know exactly what I'm sayin', but I'm just sayin'. I wouldn't think the self-proclaimed first black president would ever fall asleep at an MLK event.

Misc. Thoughts for a Misc. Winter Day
These are the things I think after scanning the headlines this morning. Warning: it might sound like I'm a hater at times, but I assure you, I'm not. Don't hate!

he's Bill. come on. he's just one of the guys. that's how he gets away with everything. i thought Chris Rock explained this kind of thing already?
"his wife's a pain in the ***. all his friends are in jail. i know Bill Clinton. heck, I AM Bill Clinton."
and you're gonna have to elaborate more on the Full House deal. i don't feel like hookin' up the link with my info.
who's Huggins?
the massage therapist who found heath ledger dead called mary-kate olsen before calling 911. i'll give that a big wtf.
yikes!
i can't think of any instance where i'd ever call an Olsen twin.
Your "foolish annual optimism" about the Redlegs is a diseases/disorder I’ve been suffering from for, umm, 47 yrs. Going back to the 61' World Series (Damn Yankees) when I was in the third gd. I can’t shake the Rosie Red viewpoint I have of my team .....and I know I never will. My prediction for ‘08,...2nd place. And in ‘09, the WSC dammit. Just you mark my word. You’ll see. Better than the
Big Red freaking Machine,...meaner than the Wire to Wire gang/Nasty Boys. And yes, I do LOVE Bob Castellini as much as one man can love another. 2009 BABY...!!! please.
