Tonight's Cake Statistics

Thought you all might like to know how much cake has been made here tonight.

6 - 6 inch diameter chocolate cakes
2 - 8 inch diameter chocolate cakes
2 - 10 inch diameter yellow cakes
2 - 12 inch diameter yellow cakes
2 - 14 inch diameter chocolate cakes

That's 961 square inches of cake. If it was one giant cake, it would be more than 3 feet by more than 2 feet. That may not sound as impressive as it looks. It's a freaking lot of cake. And I've already consumed some of it. I'm an alcoholic in a bar.

The oven has been on full blast for countless hours. The entire house smells like cake batter. (This is a good thing. I told Robyn that she's lucky her perfume doesn't smell like cake batter, because if it did I would eat her.)

And tonight is the "easy" part. Now that there are 14 individual cakes made, they all have to be iced. And once there are 14 individual iced cakes, they all have to be put together to make one enormous monstrosity of a cake. And once the 14 cakes become 1 monstrosity of a cake, then it has to be decorated to look like it is has a river flowing on it.

My wife is amazing. The only thing cake-related that I can do is eat cake. She's a freaking artist.
