Walt's HUGE new building was severely damaged by the storms earlier this week. Their current (small) location will stay open until the new (HUGE) building is done, but the new facility has had a major setback. So we can still eat good barbecue. Channel 19 interviewed Walt (aka the self-proclaimed "barbecue don") for the 10:00 news last night. He seems like a cool dude. I'll paraphrase his comments:
It's no big deal, really. We can always get more beams and wood, the important thing is that nobody was hurt. None of the construction guys were here. We're still open.By the way, he was laughing during the entire interview, as if he truly didn't care about his building. I guess I don't care about his building either, as long as he continues to provide me with exquisite pulled pork sandwiches. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm......... pulled pooooooooorkkkkkk........ (salivating)

talked to Walt on Saturday when we ate there. First off, that addition is HUGE. Can't wait til its done. I hope the food doesn't slack after it opens in late Feb. (according to Walt), and I have no reason to believe it will.
I need to go back there right now.
