Fat Internet Addict

If I lived in my parents' basement, I'd be the stereotypical loser. Of course, not any 1 of the 3 (adult living with parents, living on the computer, obese) makes a person a stereotypical loser, but the combination is rough...

I plugged my height and weight into one of those body mass index calculators on a health website. The result? I'm officially obese. I don't think I look obese, but statistically I am. Not a fun thing to discover.

The diet has officially begun. I'm determined to lose weight this time. My wife is helping me. She has been so encouraging. I've been all talk for too long. I'm doing well so far, but it's only been a couple days. I just like food so much...

In addition to the fatness, I decided to do something about my struggle with wasting time at work with personal internet use. I can confidently say that I am the first person in my company's history to call the IT department and ask for my web access to be blocked. The IT guy was blown away when I requested it. He's a friend of mine, and he did as I asked.

I'm not a legalistic person, but I see things in my life that NEED to change. Self-control and moderation are two things that I suck at, so I need things to be taken away from me.

Don't you hate what happens to your body somewhere between post-high school and 25???? What in the world? Good luck with everything. I went on weight watchers this past year and lost about 15 lbs...some have come back on since the wedding, but I'm working harder to try to get them off again. And by the way, you definitely do not look obese at all. Don't worry about numbers!

If you are seriously going to try and lose weight you should try weight watchers - it's the only diet where you can eat what you want as long as you calculate your points. so skyline and that are not completely out. to see how many points a food item has go to www.dwlz.com. that will give you a better idea of just how many calories and fat are in one item. I can have 25 points a day so i am sure that yours would be about the same. i have more info. if you need it!
