- North Sea lobster (excellent...)
- Monkfish (the best piece of fish I've ever eaten...)
- Eel (surprisingly good...)
- All kinds of raw fish-like critters (some of which were ok, such as salmon and scallops)
- Fawn (aka baby deer, served raw... this was tough to swallow, just knowing what it was... it looked like a very rare piece of steak...)
- Stuffed goose liver (this was the worst, especially after being told how they make it... poor goose...)
Some of what I ate was absolutely amazing. The monkfish? Holy cow was it good... most of the fish was excellent. The baby deer and the goose liver? Not so much... My first European trip was wonderful, and I look forward to going back and taking my vegetarian wife (!) next year. But as soon as my boss and I made it to the Amsterdam airport, we pretty much sprinted to BK for some Whoppers and fries.
