Quotable Kid

'Why would anyone want your autograph? You're not any good, you're just average. ...if you were any good, the Yankees would have traded for you.'

- Paul Byrd's 7-year-old son, about his Daddy
That quote happened considerably before Byrd shut the Yanks down to eliminate them from the playoffs. Good for Dad!

I'm preparing myself for some sort of similar punch to the gut from my son. It's bound to come someday. Although with me, it will probably be "Dad, you're no good at softball. If you were any good, you'd play for Dem Guys." Or "if you were any good at leading worship, you'd be leading at Crossroads."

Man, I can't wait.

You're not man enough to be the worship leader at Crossroads . . . especially considering the chick they have leading there now.
