Trapped In the Closet

And no, thanks for asking, I don't mean R Kelly.

(Sidenote: wasn't he first accused of his... umm... crime... about 12 years ago? How is it that he is just now heading to court? I'll bet if he were a black man with a hip-hop image he would've been locked up years ago. Racism is alive and well, I say. These are the things that fill my mind... but I digress, with my tongue firmly planted in cheek...)

We're talking today about everyone's favorite 20-month-old: The Tobe. He has this fascination with doors lately. Truthfully, I think it's all Grambee's fault (!), but again, I digress. He likes to open doors, close doors, slam doors, and hide behind doors. Sometimes, he will shut a door on himself and be unable to get the door back open, which can be quite confusing and frustrating for a little man.

This morning, he locked himself in Grandma's closet. And the door was locked. And there was no key to be found.

All is well. The police came and released the couped up beast. Really. The police came. Instead of busting down the door, the police were called. I'm not sure that's quite the way I would have responded had I been home... but that's fine. What else does a Hamilton County Sheriff need to be doing on a Monday morning in North Bend?

I (heart) cops, and hopefully cops (heart) The Tobe.
