She told me rather matter-of-factly one day back in November. I asked her when the baby was due... she shrugged her shoulders, as she did not know. I tried to get to the bottom of things by asking her if she's been keeping track of things ifyouknowwhatimsayin... she said yes. Of course, I followed up with a "well, if you've been keeping track of things, then you probably know when it happened." She smiled and said the words no husband ever wants to hear:
"According to my calendar, it happened when you were in Amsterdam."
Naturally, until we know whether she's carrying a boy or a girl, the little one shall be called Baby Dutch. And yes, I've already scheduled an appointment with 1-800-RU-MY-KID, and my people have been in touch with Maury Povich.
We told our parents a couple weeks ago. Or, perhaps I should say, Toby told his grandparents a couple weeks ago:
If I could caption that photo, it would go something like this: "What? I'm not going to be the only one? You mean... there's going to be another? I'm not so sure about this... Ok, I'm smiling... but only because you told me to..."

i just thought you should know that i had a dream last night that included you, me and the Tobe skydiving.
not even the Tobe 15 years from now, but the Tobe right now.
just wanted you to know that visions of you and your son filled my dreams last night.
heheh Whens she due?
congrats you two. here's hoping baby #2 is bigger than the Tobe...
You probably don't remember anything about the pregnancy because you were still high from your contact buzz in Amsterdam.
Congrats! That is awesome news! (Sorry that you've both been sick...stomach bugs are definitely the worst!!) Hope everyone is well soon and Toby gets a second birthday party!
