The Tobe at 18 Mos.

The little man is a year-and-a-half as of last Thursday. He has made significant progress in growing into his ginormous head and body... he went from over the 98th percentile in weight DOWN to the 94th percentile (this may not sound significant, but if you understand normal bell curves and standard deviations, that's a BIG 4% move), and from the 40th percentile in height UP to over the 65th percentile. His incredibly awesome pediatrician never was concerned about his weight, but did mention that the last 3 months have shown a very encouraging trend.

He still doesn't really talk much... he kinda/sorta says "I don't know" and "thank you" to go along with some wacky versions of "mamamamamamamama" and "dadadadadadadadadada" and "cat". Grambee taught him to finish the phrase "ready... set... GO!" What he lacks in verbal, however, he more than makes up for in sign language. The kid is too smart for his own good - he has an arsenal of 20+ signs that are a HUGE help in keeping our entire family's stress at a somewhat-managable level.
Tobe was treated to Graeter's on his half-birthday. He has a crooked black raspberry chip soul patch. He made a mess. So what else is new?And here's a family shot from Aunt Brenyn's graduation party. The Mommy Guy is wearing a Super Grover T-shirt. It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.
