So much has been done to this house in the last 4 years! New windows, new furnace, new water heater, new fridge, paint (it didn't have hardly any when we moved in), and essentially an entirely new interior. Not much of what has been done was contracted out... there's a lot of sweat equity in here, and we're incredibly thankful for Bob and friends like Levon and Randy and Jeff who helped us so much to get this place fixed up.
But I'm completely inept at fixing my house. I need help so desperately... Robyn is millions of times handier than I. Or at least, she's millions of times more confident to just give it a shot. A man should be able to do the simple things around the house... so it's kinda embarrassing and certainly frustrating when "normal" homeowner tasks end up being big failures.
The exhaust fan in our bathroom died a couple months ago. There's no good reason not to have a functional fan for that long, but I don't enjoy failure, so it hasn't been attempted until today. The new fan was picked up at the hardware store and I went at it. I quit when I started bleeding. I'm gonna try again tomorrow. It's embarrassing.

dude, one thing i like about you is how you keep trying. you pick it back up and give it another go. something i greatly respect... i'm very good at giving up before i even try once...
