Quick Hits

I might have something a little deeper to post in the near future... some venting... my wife says I don't "chalkboard" as much as I used to, and she's right, so I should get some thoughts out of my head and pin them on y'all. But these things take time... so until then...

Tobe took his first big spill the other day. He was standing on the bottom step of our staircase, lost it, fell face first into the corner of the baseboard. His forehead looked horrible. Robyn said he cried for "longer than usual", and even after a few minutes just wanted to lay on her like a pathetic little kid. He's much better now, but man oh man I would've freaked out had I seen that. An inch or two further down and it would've been his eye, so I'll just be thankful it wasn't worse.

At 10:45am Monday morning, my boss came into my office and threw an Opening Day ticket on my desk and told me my ride to the game was leaving at 11:00. Doggone it, wouldn't you know I missed out on an afternoon of accounting because I had to go watch an hour of the Findlay Market parade, then walk amidst 40,000 fans to the ballyard, then watch Dunn hit 2 dongs as the Reds beat up the Cubbies. What a tough day. Perfect weather, great game, good brats with spicy brown mustard. It didn't suck.

A couple Idol thoughts: (1) Sanjaya is a joke. Those folks over at votefortheworst.com have taken over the world. Well... I guess I should say that Google is probably still ahead of them, but look out! I'm fine with Sanjaya staying around for entertainment purposes. My threatened boycott isn't gonna go through unless he makes the finals.

(2) Now PLEASE send Haley and her pathetic attempt at sex appeal home. I know she's no good, the judges know she's no good, heck, even SHE knows she's no good. If she shakes her chest one more time I think I'm gonna get sick. Don't get me wrong, I'm very much a warm-blooded heterosexual man, but I'm not the kind of man that is attracted to women who... ok, I'm just gonna leave it at that.

Maybe more later...
